The Moa is an extinct flightless bird native to New Zealand. Some grew to a height of 12 feet. This exuberant tale blends history and myth to follow an Irish girl emigrating to New Zealand in the early 1900’s.
She is shipwrecked off the coast of New Zealand and grows up within a local Maori tribe.
‘Kate and Julie project an infectious sense of utter enjoyment ….. puppetry, songs and energetic physical theatre present a light-hearted portrait of a magical land in which Moa still roam and a young girl may escape certain death to find love and the happy-ever-after’ The NZ Herald.
Moahunting is not currently in repertoire.
